Artisan Farm was once owned by the Hawkinson Family.

Art and Nancy (Hawkinson) lived on this 40-acre property for over 50 years and raised their 4 children here. Their daughter Robin and her family still live on the neighboring 10 acres. In 1969, Art opened Art's Auto Parts in downtown Hudson, which was a popular auto parts store until his retirement in 1993. In addition to running the auto parts business, Art was an active genealogist and also grew Christmas trees on the property, selling them right at their original home. As a tribute to Art and the history of the Christmas tree farm, the subdivision is named ARTISAN FARM.
